THE RHYTHM KINGS ARE A BAND BEST KNOWN FOR THEIR WEEKNIGHT JAM SESSIONS AND WEEKEND PERFORMANCES AT NIGHTCLUBS AND PRIVATE PARTIES. SINCE THE BANDS BEGINNING THEY?VE FREQUENTED MANY FESTIVALS THROUGHOUT THE AREA INCLUDING SUMMERFEST AND THEIR REGULAR HOUSE GIG AT THE WISCONSIN STATE FAIR.
THEIR MUSIC STYLE INCLUDES ROCK, JAZZ, BLUES,REGGAE, R&B, DISCO AND SONGS THAT ARE POPULAR TODAY.
THE BAND WAS FORMED IN 1996 BY CURRENT BANDLEADER AND KEYBOARDIST MARCELL GUYTON. MARCELL AND DRUMMER LON WALL FORGED THE BAND'S SOUND AND PERFORMANCE TO THE DELIGHT OF MANY FOLLOWERS OVER THE YEARS.
IN 2004, THE BAND WELCOMED SEASONED BASSIST PHIL MARICH TO THE GROUP AND THE NEW ADDITION OF GUITARIST JOHN MOSS HAS ONLY MADE THE RHYTHM KINGS SOUND MORE DIVERSE. THIS YEAR THE GROUP WELCOMED SINGER RONNIE LONG WHICH HAS ONLY ADDED TO THEIR THICK SOUND.
THE RHYTHM KINGS HAVE TRAVELED GREAT DISTANCES TO PERFORM, BUT ARE STILL A HIT LOCALLY IN MILWAUKEE AND THE CHICAGOLAND AREA.
IN THE LAST 13 YEARS, THE BAND HAS PLAYED IN CHICAGO, HONG KONG, LAS VEGAS, RENO, LAKE TAHOE, SALT LAKE CITY, SACRAMENTO, INDIANA AND HOLLYWOOD.
