David Blixt is a professional vocalist/guitarist, specializing in performing the best songs of years past to today. Covering songs primarily from the 50’s, 60’s-80’s his performances appeal to audiences spanning from baby boomers to the current generation. He also does some Sinatra, Dean Martin, and Nat King Cole for some of the earlier stuff.
David has spent the last 12 years or so primarily performing on cruise ships such as Royal Caribbean, Celebrity, Norwegian, and Princess Cruises. Playing various venues from the main stage (up to 2,500 people) to more intimate settings such as restaurants/lounges, and poolside.
Making stops and playing live in ports such as Panama City, Costa Rica, Aruba, Florida Keys, Virgin Islands, Jamaica, Cozumel/Mexico, Barbados, Cayman Islands, the Bahamas, and Hawaii, he has performed for many thousands of people internationally, on sea and land. David also played for over 500 weddings/cocktail hours over the last few years as the main entertainer at an event/center ranch in Tucson Arizona. Besides being in various bands throughout his life, he’s done voice-over work and jingles, and recorded many original songs, while living in Nashville, TN.
Now, David is currently back performing in the Chicagoland area primarily as a soloist (Vocalist/Guitarist), and also with his musical duo (playing the same soloist sets, but with a thicker sound, and impeccable harmonies.
To wrap it up, David is also now a part of the renown Acapella doo-wop group The Harbor Lights, singing the best of the doo-wop era, from Dion and the Belmont’s, Elvis, The Drifters, Gene Chandler, The Tokens, and many more!
